FAQ

What types of photography do you do?

I’m a family photographer so I offer newborn, maternity, family and motherhood sessions, but I also love capturing couples, either for an engagement or just to celebrate your relationship.

I don't feel very confident in front of the camera, can you still get good photos?

Absolutely! Most people don't really like having their photo taken, but I promise you will enjoy it. My aim is to make you feel relaxed and at ease, by the end of the session I want you to have had fun!

How should we dress for our family session?

I always recommend neutral clothing for for my sessions. Earthy tones work really well with my photography style and allows the focus to be on you and not the clothing! Neutrals often make for more timeless images and it also means it won’t clash with any home decor you have when you hang your artwork on your wall. I’d always try to avoid big slogans or neon colours which will look busy and distract from you.
That being said, most importantly I want you to be comfortable in what you’re wearing! Don’t worry I always offer styling advice for every session, if you want it!

How long will our session take?

This depends on the package you choose and the type of session. For example newborn sessions are usually considerably longer than a maternity or family session. Typically my sessions are between 1-1.5 hours.

When will we receive our photos?

I have a three week turnaround, so you can expect to receive your gallery within three weeks.

How many photos will I recieve?

This depends on the package you’ve chosen. If you’ve chosen a package that doesn’t include the entire gallery but decide afterwards that you would like it, then upgrades to the full gallery are available.

Do you offer any payment terms?

Yes! Payment plans are absolutely an option if you’d like to spread the cost.

Why should I have a professional photoshoot done?

Because future you will thank you, and your memories are worth investing in! Your treasured photos now, will become heirlooms to future generations. It also allows you to remember all of the details you never want to forget, reminisce over when your children were little and you were in the thick of it. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to get in the frame too!

How much does a session cost?

This depends on which package you choose. Our packages start from £390.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

The best time is in their first two weeks. They tend to be more sleepy, easier to settle and to put into positions. If your baby however is older, we can work something out!

What if we have an outside session and the weather is bad?

I will happily shoot in most weather, so if you’re game, so am I! Light rain, wind and moody skies can make for some really special shots, but I do also understand that you might want to reschedule if you have little children who may not enjoy it so much.
If the weather is exceptionally adverse I will always reschedule your session, so don’t worry about that!

What if we need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule, I will do my best to accommodate you, as far as my diary will allow!

What happens if you are unable to photograph me in an emergency?

If I’m unable to photograph you due to illness or an emergency, I will reschedule your session. If this isn’t an option due to the nature oh your session, I have a list of other trusted and highly talented photographers I’d be happy to refer you to.
